New Water Connections
- Submit Application: Complete and submit your application form.
- Pay Scoping Fee: Pay the scoping fee to initiate the assessment, $149.50
- Receive Connection Report: After the assessment, you will receive a connection report.
If you choose to proceed based on the report, the installation fee will be $701.50. To Tatou Vai will then schedule the installation.
To apply for water connection, you need to submit the following documents:
- A signed copy of the CR2A form
- Land Titles Site Map
- Valid Photo ID
Please note that a non-refundable fee of $149.50 is required on application before a scoping assessment can be conducted to confirm the feasibility of connecting to the network infrastructure.
How long does it take to establish a new connection?

No, currently Rarotonga’s public water isn’t disinfected, we highly recommend that water is boiled before consumption or for any food preparation
Our source water comes from a total of 10 stream intakes and water treatment plants up in the valleys of Rarotonga. These are Avana, Avatiu, Matavera, Ngatoe, Papua, Taipara, Takuvaine, Totokoitu, Tupapa and Turangi.
As mentioned in point 4 above, all pipes located outside your property is the responsibility of TTV. Inside your property boundaries, inclusive of any pipe running to the connection point on a mains supply are the responsibility of the owner.
